7.62 x 25 ammo

Ok,here's my question:

I have several pistols chambered for the 7.62x25 round. I see Bulgarian,Yugo,Romanian and Polish surplus for sale.I have also read comments about some being underpowered while others is over powered and could ruin the
pistol.

Which type would be the best to use?

Thank you.

Re: 7.62 x 25 ammo

Beware of firing military surplus ammo headstamped "* 10 52 3" (reading clockwise). There have been reports that these rounds were manufactured improperly, and could result in damage to the gun and injury to the shooter.

search GIM for 7.62x25 and for cz52

also see http://www.findarticles.com/p/articl...26/ai_90099729

I think Bulgarian rounds are made very very corrosive

the more overpowered ones can ruin a barrel of a cz52 after a while as the pressure is too great

Yes,
Infidel is correct. I bought some of the Bulgarian stuff with that particular headstamp years ago. Fortunately, it got shoved away in a corner for years and was never used. I also have some of the supposedly hot Czech ammo on 8 round stripper clips - too chicken to shoot it though in my CZ52. I like both Sellier and Bellot and generic Winchester whitebox ammo for the pistol.
